Stars of the show are likely to include Lockheed Martin’s F-22 and F-35, marking the first time that the F-35 has been on display in the Middle East outside of Israel. It is anticipated that Russia will showcase a scale-model of its Su-57E, which is an export version of its Su-57 fighter. (Fifth generation fighter buzz notwithstanding, DoD officials recently stated that UAE interest in tactical aircraft is presently focused on upgrades to the Emirates’ F-16 fleet rather than on F-35 procurement.)
