Elisra Unveils New Generation COMINT System at Defexpo 2010

New Delhi, February 15, 2010…Elisra, a venerable global authority in EW, intelligence, and communications solutions, unveils its ground breaking, third generation COMINT receiver, TSR-2300, designed to answer existing, new, and emerging communication signals threats, and go well beyond.  The TSR 2300 (Tadiran System Receiver) provides myriad capabilities including location, listening in, recording, data dissemination and jamming support of communications signals of all types, performing COMINT (Communications Intelligence) and  support COMJAM (Communications Jamming) missions in any environment, onboard any tri-service platform simultaneously, in real time, against communication signals threats, both military and civilian.

The heart of a system enabling Elisra’s high end COMINT/COMJAM/COMINTDF capabilities, TSR 2300 was developed in response to an increasing threat to armed forces and civilians posed by proliferating, modern, hostile communications signals. This receiver answers the challenge. It offers a flexible combination of performance parameters that is a new level of COMINT mission capabilities, both intelligence and jamming support, while offering unique modularity and customization advantages.  Designed to be tailored to specific customer and application requirements, TSR 2300 is a high performance, high end RF receiver system for UAVs, manned aircraft, land and marine platforms. 

Processing multiple in-band, diverse signals concurrently and utilizing high properties of separation, dynamic range, and advanced digital processing, TSR 2300 features 16 listening channels that function simultaneously, thereby carrying out the tasks of 16 separate receivers with additional ones easily added.  Featuring uniquely large processing power, with 2 VIRTEX 5 and Power PC processors, this receiver enables its users to carry out their own customized arrangements requiring no additional computing sources.  All-in-one, modular, and connected via standard PCI ex BUS, TSR 2300 is a vehicle for mission specific configuration, allowing the desired results to be simply achieved through a quick system transformation.  Setting a standard of its own as it operates within a wide 20-3000 MHz frequency, TSR 2300 boasts a very high spectrum scan with instantaneous bandwidth of 40 MHz.  The receiver employs special daisy chain capabilities in order to achieve a high scanning rate, thus enabling a rapidly available mission theatre picture.
