InterAgency CTTSO seeks technology solutions from Industry

The U.S. Government’s inter-Agency Combating Terrorism Technical Support Office (CTTSO, formerly TSWG) has previewed dozens of requirements that will appear in its annual Broad Agency Announcement (BAA).  Interagency requirements exist for existing (or high TRL) system in areas including CBRN Countermeasures, Explosives Detection, Explosive Ordnance Disposal, Low Intensity Conflict, Improvised Device Defeat, Investigative Support and Forensics, Personnel Protection, Physical Security, Tactical Operations Support, and Training Technology Development.  CTTSO anticipates that a total of $65-$80 million will available for funding in this (Fiscal Year 2011) BAA cycle.  The BAA Requirement Descriptions are tentative and will be formally released via FedBizOpps (www.fbo.gov) and BIDS (www.bids.tswg.gov) on or about 12 February 2010.  As usual, after formal BAA release/publication, industry will have 30 calendar days to electronically submit standard Quad Charts outlining the essence of proposed programs. Formal White Papers (not to exceed 12 pages) will be required only upon TSWG/CSSTO request for additional information.
