We're hearing that the Pentagon is poised to receive a whopping 2.7% increase in funding in the President's pending Fiscal Year 2011 budget request.  If valid, this roughly $20 billion increase over DoD FY10 levels of funding, would come on top of an anticipated FY10 War Supplemental this coming Spring.  Perhaps the anticipated "guns to butter" conversion will have to wait... at least until Afghanistan is stable.
