Good move - Frank Kendall for Deputy AT&LPresident Obama today announced his intent to nominate Frank Kendall
for Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Technology, shoring up what was regarded by some as a
pronounced lack of industry experience on the part of Dr. Ashton Carter, the man who will be his boss. The White House announcement notes that Mr. Kendall, a West Pointer who served ten years in the
Army followed by a host of senior DoD and industry (Vice President of Engineering at Raytheon) positions, is currently
a Managing Partner at Rennaissance Strategic Advisors, an Arlington, VA-based defense consulting firm and is actively engaged in human rights issues on a pro-bono basis.
